Markforged Accelerates Additive Manufacturing By Becoming Member of America Makes

Markforged to Work Closely with America Makes to Support Advancement of Digital Manufacturing for Government Applications

Markforged, creator of the world’s largest metal and carbon fiber industrial 3D printing platform, the Digital Forge, has become a member of America Makes, the nation’s leading public-private partnership organization dedicated to the advancement of and education around additive manufacturing. Together, Markforged and America Makes will work toward their shared goals of accelerating the adoption of digital manufacturing solutions and equipping U.S. manufacturers with cutting-edge technology.


America Makes was founded in 2012 as the Department of Defense’s national manufacturing innovation institute for additive manufacturing. The organization is managed by the not-for-profit National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM). As a member, Markforged will contribute its industrial 3D printing expertise and innovations to the America Makes community to help drive adoption of digital manufacturing solutions for government applications, as well as industry and academia.
